The Cipinang Main Market Is There A Food Operation By The Local Task Force

Pojok Pos. The National Police Food Task Force held a Medium Rice Market Operation at Cipinang Rice Market, East Jakarta. The Food Task Force wants to ensure there are no deviations in the price or stock of rice.

The delegation of the National Police Task Force arrived at Cipinang Central Market, East Jakarta, at 10:20 WIB on Thursday (11/22/2018). The Head of the National Police Propam Inspector Listyo Sigit to the Chairperson of the Food Task Force, which is also Karo Binops Bareskrim, the National Police Commissioner Nico Afinta, was present.

"The government wants the rice price to return to normal soon. We, from the National Police working with stakeholders agree, we will cooperate, the price of rice will soon be normal and reach the target, people who really need this rice," said Listyo Sigit.

Listyo said its presence to ensure the distribution of this medium rice went well. Listyo is optimistic about the stability of rice prices because this year Bulog has more stocks than in previous years.

"We hope that this implementation can be maximized and complaints will be resolved soon. Because our stock is very sufficient, at most compared to previous years," said Listyo.

Meanwhile, Kasatgas Pangan Kombes Nico Afinta said his party and all involved stakeholders had repeatedly held meetings. The meeting was to discuss food availability, food distribution, and price fluctuations.

"(Results of discussion) The point of vulnerability deviation (distribution of rice) does not yet exist," said Nico.

According to him, the presence of the Food Task Force is strong enough to ensure there are no deviations related to rice prices and stocks for the community. He also explained one of the ways the Food Task Force oversees the distribution of rice to the community, so as not to deviate.

"We were formed from Headquarters to the level of the police station, police station. So we will be with stakeholders and overseeing traders, Bulog has set rules before circulating to the market in large numbers, ie traders report for example there are 38 referrals in the market," explained Nico.

"How much rice distribution goes to derivative markets. How long will the rice run out, then it will be seen. With our control it will be seen," he said firmly.

AFP monitoring at the location, three container units owned by Bulog transported rice to be sold. The rice is packaged in 50 kilograms of sacks and 4 kilograms of retail packaging.

Food Station Director Arief Presetyo Adi explained that the market operation will continue until March 2019. But if it is still needed, the operation will be extended.

"HET (highest retail price) for medium rice is currently Rp. 9,450. In the rice market

IDR 9,225. Now we sell IDR 8,500 for the Cipinang Central Market. But if in the market the derivative is IDR 9,000, "Arief said.

Sukanto, one of the rice traders in the location, said medium rice is rarely consumed directly by consumers. Mostly, mediocre rice is made into other rice mixes whose quality is above the medium.

"Sales (medium rice) is not too much. Because this rice is the way for people to consume it, 6 are used for opus," Sukanto said.
