Minister of Transportation: Finally Lion Air PK-LQP FDR has been successfully downloaded

Rakyat Utama. Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi said that Lion Air PK-LQP's flight data recorder (FDR) was successfully downloaded.


Budi revealed the success of downloading Lion Air PK-LQP FDR data in a working meeting with the House of Representatives Commission V in the Parliament building, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (11/22/2018). Budi initially delivered the results of the NTSC investigation.


"The NTSC investigation aims to find the cause of the accident and provide safety recommendations," Budi said at the meeting.


In accordance with the Annex 13 International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), said Budi, besides the NTSC, there were other parties involved in the investigation work. The parties range from aircraft designers and aircraft-making countries, in this case the United States represented by NTSB, Boeing, Australia Transport Safety Bureau to Singapore parties.


"These parties are already in Indonesia and together with the NTSC carry out investigative activities as mandated by ICAO," said Budi.


The Lion Air PK-LQP FDR was discovered early November. On November 4, FDR data successfully downloaded included loading records of JT 610 flights from the Jakarta-Pangkalpinang route that did not reach their destination.


"On November 1, FDR has been found, on November 4, FDR data has been successfully downloaded. From the FDR, a total of 1,790 parameters were obtained from 69 hours consisting of 19 flights, including those who had an accident," said Budi.
